This look features 36 hours of garment construction and is a reinterpretation of one of our staple designs from the RTW line, Off The Rack by Lempoche Couture. This piece symbolises the nature of parenthood. God is the ultimate parent, one who cares for us and desires that we thrive, incomparably. This design was curated to reflect that truth. The two-tone silk lamé was particularly suited to this look, as it conveys the depth and complexity of the love involved in nurturing humanity. As it is written: “I will be his father, and he will be my son” (2 Samuel 7:14, NIV). The woven silk lamé fabric, imported from France, was sculpted to complement the mature curves of celebrity guest. The design draws inspiration from the traditional Kaba and slit commonly worn by mothers in Ghana. Paired with her iconic turban and finished with a train made from liquid mikado in a complementary colour, the look was intended to emphasise how a parent’s love embraces and protects their children.
